We have always heard about humans adopting dogs. After all, these furry and fluffy creatures do make our lives a little brighter, aren’t they? But have you already heard of a monkey adopting a stray puppy?

It all started in the dangerous streets of Rode, India. Everyone knows that streets are not safe for dogs, but this stray pooch kept walking alone with no one to feed and take good care of him.

Suddenly, a rhesus macaque monkey came to the scene out of the blue. When the monkey saw the poor puppy, he carried the puppy with him out of the bustling streets and then disappeared.

However, the local citizens were surprised when they found out that the monkey has completely taken the responsibility of being the pup’s caretaker!

They discovered that the monkey would look out for his dear “child” just like any parent would do to his or her baby. He would also make sure that the puppy would eat first before he eats his food.
According to Zee News India, the admirable pair have garnered so much attention from the local citizens. The monkey’s selflessness and puppy’s cuteness were quickly admired.

The Logical Indian also took notice of this touching news and shared something that us, conscious human beings who are deemed as “smartest” in the class Mammalia, could learn from the caring primate.

“There was a strange phenomenon seen on common busy street. A monkey adopted a pup out of sheer compassion. And he protects the pup from other stray dogs. Seeing this amazing inter- species relationship and love from this guardian Monkey they were given food and there also the Monkey makes sure the pup is stomach full before eating himself.

This is amazing example shown by the nature and there is lot to learn from this.
