There’s always a chance that things work out for us and we receive the things we desire the harsh reality of life. If we’re looking for true love then there is a chance that it would find us, when we’re least expecting it. However, just as easily as love comes, it can also leave. Very few of us have that brief moment filled with love, before it’s taken away. “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” shared the tragically beautiful love story of Jen Rios and Allen Villanueva.

Edlen Marfal was overflowing with gratitude to the Lord when her salon and bridal shop were saved from a fire. Thinking of way to give back, Edlen decided to give away an all-expense paid wedding to anyone who could send her the best love story.

As you might have guessed, Jen and Allen won the contest. But it’s not because their story was your typical romantic tale with a happy ending. It turns out that the couple had to go through a lot of personal struggle and yet their relationship still didn’t work out as they planned.

According to the report by Jessica Soho, the couple first met when they worked at the same fast food chain. After sending text messages and spending time with one another, a beautiful relationship blossomed. Unfortunately, the first obstacle came in the form of Jen’s parents. They did not approve of Allen and forced her to break up with him.

Years after the split, the pair got in touch once more and met at a computer shop. This is when they knew that they still loved one another and decided to pick things up where they left off. Jen graduated from college, proving to her parents that Allen wasn’t a bad influence in her life.

Everything was beginning look up for the two but the couple’s need for stable income compelled Allen to work overseas as a hospital assistant. It was definitely hard choice but they knew that this was for their future. Little did they know that the worst news they could ever possibly hear would ruin this idyllic union.

Allen became terribly ill and after some tests, they confirmed that he had a brain tumor. Allen came home to be taken care of and that was when Jen saw the contest for the free wedding. Knowing that they wouldn’t have the money to pay for a wedding, the young woman wrote their tragic love story in hopes of winning.

Jen won the contest but was dealt another harsh blow when Allen suffered a really bad seizure that left him brain dead. Anyone would have surrendered at that moment but Jen decided to push through with the wedding because she hoped that God would provide a miracle for them.

Wearing a beautiful white gown, Jen got married to Allen by the young man’s bedside in his hospital room. Everyone in the room cried their hearts out, especially when Jen begged her husband to wake up. Sadly, Allen never opened his eyes again as he breathed his last breath that night.

Despite the harsh circumstances she faced, Jen knows that she can get through it. With a last “I love you” to the man she loved, Jen ends this unforgettable chapter of her life.
