KZ Tandingan, pinaluha ang mga Chinese audience sa kanyang Performance sa 'Singer 2018' sa China!

Kapamilya singer KZ Tandingan constantly proves to us that she is the best performer out there every time she sets the stage of “Singer 2018” ablaze with her fiery and powerful singing performances. For her second performance on the said contest, the singer took it to the next level and sang a medley of three Chinese songs.

A preview video of KZ’s performance showcased Chinese audiences who became emotional during her performance. Clearly, the singer has made an instant home in their hearts.

Singing three songs of a foreign language is an admirable feat. But what urged KZ to sing Mandarin songs in the first place?

The singer from Digos, Davao del Sur said during an interview before her performance:

“I want to show my respect to the Chinese audience, Chinese culture, Chinese music. I actually heard this song by accident. I instantly fell in love with the melody of the song. When I found out what the song really meant, I fell in love with the song.”

“The X Factor Philippines 2012” winner also asked from the Chinese locals’ advise so that she could perform the songs well.

“I ask them, ‘How do you position your tongue and your teeth so you can pronounced that word?’ I hope if I don’t get it perfectly, I hope I can go close to the almost perfect pronunciation.”

KZ deemed this performance as “one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging” she ever had during her entire singing career.

“Hindi ko akalain na kakayanin ko gawin at aralin in a span of two weeks.”

According to ABS-CBN, KZ is currently a regular contender on the Chinese singing competition. She ranked sixth among the eight contenders who battled in the new episode.

While this is relatively lower than that of her rank on her debut episode, her two rankings when averaged saved her from elimination.
