Many people are allured by the idea of “million-income-potential,” which is why they tend to join networking businesses. As a matter of fact, there are a number of these kinds of organizations in the country looking to take advantage of people who want to make a quick buck. This balut vendor, though, isn’t having any of that nonsense.

We’ve all heard through the grapevine that a number of networking schemes are actually scams that victimize unwitting clients. This is the reason why those who aspire to prosper must be vigilant when engaging networkers. Luckily for this balut vendor, he was able to turn the tables on a persistent networker.

Screenshots of a Facebook Messenger conversation recently made rounds online. It depicted a balut vendor questioning a networker who claimed that his organization was employing a surefire get rich quick scheme.

The conversation began with an exchange of pleasantries, until the networker asked the balut vendor to join their networking company.

“Sir, Sali na po kayo sa AIM Global. Ang PHP 6,980 pesos niyo po na iinvest sa akin marami mapupuntahan. Kikita pa kayo ng malaki.”

The vendor, however, declined as he had no money at the time. The networker was persistent and told him that he was throwing away a good opportunity to become rich. The vendor then asked him why he was still in Saudi after claiming that his life had changed after joining the networking company.

“Oh? Anong nangyari? Sa 3 years mo ng nasa AIM Global eh bakit nasa Saudi ka pa rin hanggang ngayon? ‘Di ba, sabi mo, gaganda buhay ko or magkakaroon ako ng chance na maging milyonaryo? Eh bakit sa 3 taon mo sa AIM Global eh hindi mo nagawa yan sa sarili mo? ‘Di ba, dapat nakauwi ka na?”

The networker was at a loss for words. The balut vendor then followed up his thought-provoking question by stating that he may be earning little, but at least he has customers on a daily basis. Then he encouraged the networker to invest in his balut business instead.

“Nakailang post na ba kayo sa Facebook [pero] walang pumapansin? Ako sisigaw lang [ng] ‘Balut! Balut!’ may papansin sa akin… Ikaw ba, gusto mo rin magtinda ng balut? Nagpaparesell ako, ikaw na lang mag-invest sa balutan ko.”
