Last Thursday, February 15, a certain Nash Yu Timkang just turned 32, and what better way for his friends to celebrate this special day than to throw him an epic birthday surprise! His pal, a certain Glenn Rementizo Mejorada, along with the rest of their barkada, went all out in coming up with their special present—from flowers to cake, down to their birthday greetings. The theme? A funeral service.

In Glenn’s recent post on Facebook was a 6-minute video showing the surprise. As they were making their way towards Nash’s home, the group started to sing what would seem as their squad’s favorite song: Ricky Martin‘s “Livin’ La Vida Loca“. Soon after, when they finally reached their destination, a friend started to declare their rendition of the Mysteries of the Cross.

At this point, the birthday celebrant finally came out feeling both shocked and amused, just like the others who were also present.

It didn’t take long before the funny yet touching surprise reached thousands of social media users. As of writing, over 12,000 amused netizens shared the post on their page, making the epic barkada phenomenal online.
