After drawing much flak for his perceived rude and racist comments towards a Korean contestant who auditioned for “Pilipinas Got Talent”, actor and PGT judge Robin Padilla seems to have put the whole incident behind him. Now, Robin is focusing more on his job as a host and celebrity. In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal, the actor shared that he does not mind being embarrassed whenever he is made to do novel things as long as he makes people happy.
In the interview, Robin was asked if he got annoyed when he was made to dance earlier during a PGT audition. The actor said it was okay, and explained that he has reached a certain age where he does not care about other people’s opinions anymore.
The actor said:
“Siguro umabot na ako sa edad ko ngayon na wala na akong pakialam kung mag-eenjoy ‘yung mga tao sa gagawin ko. Ba’t naman ako mag iisip-isipan pa ng… Ang tanda ko na, image lang naman yan.”
Robin even made reference to his latest movie, “Unexpectedly Yours”, where he starred with Megastar Sharon Cuneta. He said he did a lot of things in the said movie that he never did before, and that he did not really mind doing them. He added that he does not see the point of having reservations anymore.
When asked if it was his first time to dance during the PGT auditions, Robin answered that he was not even made to dance to begin with and quipped:
“Yung ganong sayaw? Hindi naman sayaw ‘yon, parang gin*g*go mo lang ‘yung sarili mo ‘don, eh. Pero okay lang. Basta masaya ‘yung ibang tao, no problem sa akin.”
Robin also shared that he is happy with being a PGT judge, saying he does not see it as a job, but rather, something he enjoys.
