Paolo Ballesteros, nagbigay ng Pahayag tungkol sa Open Letter ni Maine Mendoza.

Actor and makeup extraordinaire Paolo Ballesteros expressed his full support for co-host Maine Mendoza’s decision to pen an open letter to avid fans of the phenomenal love team ‘AlDub’ with Alden Richards.

Speaking to showbiz website PEP on the sidelines of his movie’s premiere last November 27, the comedian knew what Maine has been going through since they worked together on “Eat Bulaga” almost every day. It must have been quite obvious how the young host felt conflicted over her heartbreaking decision to go through with publishing her letter.

“Siyempre, alam naman namin kung ano ang pinagdadaanan ni Maine, bilang kasama namin siya araw-araw. Lahat naman tayo, yun ang gusto sa buhay, kung saan tayo magiging masaya,” he said.

According to a previous report, the young actress took to Twitter in voicing out her sentiments towards her eager fans with a three-page letter. Although she’s beyond grateful of their undying support, Maine asked for more breathing room in her personal life. She also dropped the truth that she and Alden “are just friends”, despite their fans’ insistence that reel becomes real.

Paolo continued, “Kung yun ang hinihiling niya sa mga fans niya… kasi minsan, tayo, kapag nabigyan ng power ng internet, parang ang dali-dali sa atin na magsabi ng salita. Pero hindi mo alam yung effect nun sa sinasabihan.”

The award-winning actor believed that what the 22-year-old did was ‘liberating’ for having the courage to express her feelings.

“Yes, of course. She’s a writer naman at diyan din naman siya sa social media nakilala. Okey yung ginawa niya,” he told PEP.

According to Paolo, he would also do something similar if he is in the same position as Maine’s, quickly answering, “Oo naman.”

Paolo is set to appear in the movie “Barbi D’ Wonder Beki“ opening on November 29th, same day as his birthday so it’s like the movie is his birthday treat to the viewers.

He admitted his excitement over the movie’s scheduled showing which is the same as the Robin Padilla-Sharon Cuneta rom-com flick, “Unexpectedly Yours”. In fact, the actor doesn’t feel nervous with the ‘competition’ on the silver screen.

“Walang kaba kasi magkaiba naman kasi siyang pelikula,” he explained. “Parehas na dapat panoorin kasi matagal na sina Sharon at Robin na hindi gumagawa ng film.”

“Same with Barbi rin naman. Si Joey de Leon, matagal nang hindi gumagawa ng pelikula. Ngayon, meron ulit. So, double treat sa mga manonood,” he added.
