It’s been a difficult past few days in the local entertainment industry after it lost one of its most talented stars. Actress and singer Isabel Granada was beloved by her peers, co-workers and the fans who came in support of the late celebrity. Many people couldn’t believe that Isabel passed away last Nov. 5, Sunday. The tragic news came so quickly and so suddenly that it left many of her followers and loved ones in shock. Many celebrities came to pay their respects on the first and second night of the star’s wake.
According a recent report by PEP, Isabel Granada’s remains were finally laid to rest as she was cremated in the afternoon of Nov.12 at the Arlington Memorial Chapels, Quezon City.
The urn keeping Isabel’s ashes will be returned to Santuario de San Jose in Mandaluyong City.

The news was further shared by Isabel’s cousin Joseph Rivera – who detailed the many pre-cremation and cremation ceremonies for the late actress.

Prior to her cremation, Isabel was bestowed with military honors by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) right outside Arlington. She served as an Airwoman Second Class (AW2C) in the PAF for two years.

After the ceremony, members of the PAF staff gave Isabel’s mother Isabel ‘Mommy Guapa’ Villarama the Philippine flag.

Later on a more solemn pre-cremation ceremony took place, where family and friends wrote their final goodbyes on Isabel’s cradle cover. Candles were lit after each loved one’s message.

When it was time to cremate the body, those closest to the actress (including Isabel’s husband Arnel Cowley) were summoned to witness her body enter the crematory incinerator.

Meanwhile, other loved ones took part in a “letting go” ceremony where they let go of butterflies outside the crematorium.

On the same day, Arnel posted a final farewell to his wife through a heartfelt Facebook status. A section of his status read:
“Saying goodbye will be the hardest thing to do.
“But I know that you’re in a better place My Baby Isabel Granada.
