This seaman simply could not wait for Valentines’ day to come before showering his girlfriend with a major case of “kilig.” Even though they were miles away from one another, this sweet couple proved that there’s no such thing as distance when it comes to love . While he was deployed at sea, this seaman wasalready plotting his surprise onboard proposal for his long-time girlfriend.

On the famous Facebook page “Seaman’s Girlfriend Confessions,” an anonymous sender shared how her seaman boyfriend planned a surprise proposal while he was working. According to the unidentified woman, she thought that they were only visiting her seaman boyfriend after his ship has docked in the Philippines.

However, she was in for the surprise of the century!

Based on what we have gathered on the short confession, the seaman conspired with his girlfriend’s family and friends. Apparently, everyone but the woman knew about his plans already! You could just imagine her surprise when he got on one knee and popped up the question.

She recalls:

“Ang alam ko lang kase dadalawin namin sya dahil biglang nagawi sa pilipinas yung barkong sinasakyan nya kaya binisita namin sya tapos ganito pala aabutan ko [heart eyes emoji]nakausap na pala nya pati mga magulang ko nakaready na lahat ako na lang yung walang ka alam alam.”

As expected, this one-of-a-kind proposal onboard was a hit on social media! Within hours of posting it on Facebook, the seaman’s romantic onboard proposal immediately spread like wildfire. As a matter of fact, the post reached more than 4,000 likes on Facebook as of this writing!
