After being in a relationship with him for four years, actress Maxene Magalona is now married to musician Rob Mananquil. The couple tied the knot in Boracay Island.

According to ABS-CBN News, the ceremony happened in Jan. 11, 2017, where it was attended by their close friends and family members. Maxene held a bouquet with a locket as a tribute to her late father, rapper Francis Magalona.

Her entourage included Julia Montes, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, and Lauren Young. All of them wore white as well. The source mentioned that the wedding took place at Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa.

Other famous personalities who attended were Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, Tim Yap, and Mikael Daez.

Saab Magalona, who was supposed to be Maxine’s matron of honor, did not make it to the ceremony because of her pregnancy. She is set to deliver a pair of twins.

In an additional report from GMA Entertainment, Saab shared the following words on her Instagram account (as quoted by the source):

“Today my maid-of-honor gets married and, as her matron-of-honor, I’m so sad that I can’t be with her physically. I really wish I could be there, but with her big and selfless heart, she told me not to worry about it because the safety of my babies is what’s most important. I love you, maxenemagalona, and I am currently crying buckets from Manila.”

Rappler cited that the bride wore an elegant dress by renowned designer, Vera Wang. The dress was paired with a sheer veil with lace details.

The actress wore an off-shoulder top and a skirt while Rob wore a printed top with pants. The dinner was held at the beachside, where their celebrated guests wore Coachella-inspired attires as well.

As stated by the source, “The party had a boodle setup and drinks, tambourines and drums to play with, and a small teepee for cute IG photos.”
