This couple’s marital problems are not only ruining their relationship but also causing irreparable trauma to their children. In order to resolve her persisting dilemmas, complainant Jocelyn Batiloy approached host Raffy Tulfo to ask for help.

Like most relationships, lack of passion and intimacy is one of the cause why this woman’s marriage is falling apart. However, this estrangement gave way to a more disturbing problem: physical violence.

Jocelyn, who works as a janitress, complained against her husband Michael Acacio. Based on the former’s accounts, she has been reluctant to get intimate with her husband ever since Acacio beat her. Whenever she refuses to have s*x with him, her husband resort to physical violence.

During her questioning with Raffy Tulfo, Batiloy was quoted as saying:

“Sir noon pa po siya nanakit sa akin. Ilang beses na po akong palayas-layas sa amin. Lagi po siyang nananakit. Noong isang linggo lang po may pasa ako dito sinuntok niya ako eh.”

Aside from being violent, the battered wife claimed that Acacio is an alcoholic who gets drunk regularly.

This persisting situation is damaging enough to the mother, but it is even more traumatizing for their young children; a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old toddler who are mute witnesses to their mother’s pitiful situation in the hands of their father.

Despite the horrors she’s been subjected to by her own partner, Batiloy claimed that she has no intention of filing criminal charges against him. Instead, she only wanted to go back to the province with her children. Her decision was strongly opposed by Acacio, who wanted to work things out between them.

On the other hand, host Raffy Tulfo also supported Batiloy’s decision. While talking on the phone with Acacio, the host couldn’t help but reprimand the husband for his behavior:

“Wife beater ka, dapat ka lang talagang hiwalayan at hindi lang hiwalayan, dapat ipinakukulong’yung mga taong katulad mo, Michael.”
