Small acts of kindness and altruism still make us believe that each and every person we meet or brush our shoulders with is capable of goodness deep within. This was what this Jollibee service crew member recently made us feel.

On Thursday, female netizen Princess Fumar Nobleza shared a couple of heartwarming photos on Facebook taken at a Jollibee branch in Bagong Silang. Her photos depicted a service crew member helping an elderly man eat his food.

The post read:

“Nakakaawa yung lalaki aknina sa Jollibee. May dala syang backpack at body bag. Hndi niya kayang kumuha ng anything kaya yung crew na lang yung naglagay ng sukli niya sa bag. Nakakatuwa rin yung crew kasi talagang tsinaga niya si kuyang subuan at alalayan. The best Jollibee crew.”

The netizen also called out to the old man’s relatives, advising them that he should not be left wandering alone especially since his belongings were too heavy for an elderly person to carry without aid.

“Sa mga kamag-anak ni kuya sana po hndi niyo siya hinahayaang mag-isa at napakadami niyang dalang gamit lalo na sa situation niya.”

Nobleza’s post instantly became a trending topic on social media due to its inspirational nature. As of press time, it has already garnered more than 31,000 reactions, over 13,000 shares, and about 4,400 comments from netizens. Most people praised the Jollibee crew member for the kindness that he showed to the elderly man.

A similar act of kindness was spotted at a Jollibee branch in La Union during the first quarter of 2016. This one featured a crew member seen assisting an elderly handicapped man. The fastfood crew member was identified as Jemcy Garcia Carino. Upon seeing the old man struggling to eat as he had no arms, Jemcy walked towards him and offered to feed him.
