Filipinos nationwide have boasted our homegrown talents’ ability to compete on a worldwide stage. We have great athletes, academic achievers, but the one thing we are most known for is our singers. From the clean, princess-like voice of Tony award-winning Lea Salonga to the powerful belts of Jake Zyrus when he was still known as Charice, the Philippines’ singers are greatly revered.
Now, another young star is on the rise as she was once again invited to another edition of “Little Big Shots.” Elha Nympha was invited sing the iconic, yet undeniably difficult, song “Chandelier” in the French edition of the talent show – “Little Big Stars.”
“The Voice Kids” Season 2 champion was first invited by host Steve Harvey to appear in “Little Big Shots US” where Elha received a standing ovation for her impeccable performance. Her vocal runs and high notes were a thing of beauty that amazed the audience. If you watch the video again, you can see Steve Harvey’s expression contort in sheer awe of Elha’s talent.
After the episode’s release, the beloved comic tweeted this about the adorable singer:
“EVERYONE on the set was blown away by Elha, she got a standing ovation! This is why I love this show #LittleBigShots.”
Elha’s incredible performance in the US version may have been the reason why she landed the gig in the French talent show.
It was revealed that Elha went to France last October to shoot the episode but it only aired this February 2. You can see that both the host and the audience were mesmerized by her vocal talent. Elha has definitely come a long way from just selling banana cues on the street for money to her career now. We are so proud of you!
