Attention ladies: it’s important to ensure that the makeup you use is made of high-quality ingredients. Using substandard products can cause significant damage to the skin. Case in point, this female netizen shared her unfortunate experience with what she described as a cheap brand of lip tint.

According to her, she was so addicted to applying lip tint that she failed to notice that one of the products given to her last year was of low quality. She took to Facebook to recount her experience.

“Sa sobrang adik ko sa liptint di ko napansin na peke pala ang nabigay sakin ng isa kong frieny [sic] last year nangyari nato sakin 2weeks bago sya gumaling ang now eto nanaman nagbabalik.”

She described how blisters formed on the surface of her lips. Apparently, she had already experienced a similar scenario before and it took two weeks for her to heal.

The netizen warned the public to be careful of low-quality lip tints or any other products that they apply to their faces. She said that eating and drinking have become difficult tasks due to the pain she felt on her damaged lips.

While she didn’t mention the particular brand of lip tint that caused her lips to peel, she did describe it as “peke” (fake) and “mumurahin” (cheap).

The netizen added that she had to miss school because of her predicament. She ended her post with this:

Attached to her Facebook post was a video wherein she demonstrated how badly the lip tint had damaged her lips, even presenting a piece of skin that supposedly came off.
