Isang babae, ikinasal sa kanyang kasintahan 18 oras bago siya bawian ng buhay.

“‘Til death do us part” came way too early for this bride, who bravely lifted both of her arms in the act of marriage, 18 hours before she tragically faced her death. This final act of strength was seen from Heather Lindsay, who tied the knot with David Mosher last December 22, 2017.

The family and friends of the couple were there to witness the joy of the dying bride in a stunning wedding gown and a mask strapped to her face. The touching gesture was captured by the bridesmaid, Christina Karas, moments after the couple was professed as husband and wife.

She posted the touching snap and coupled it with a caption on Facebook:

“I’ve been asked to share this beautiful photo I took. Heather in all her glory next to the man of her dreams. She did it! They did it! What a miracle to witness the love between these two soul mates. Yesterday evening at Saint Francis Hospital Chapel we were blessed to witness these two exchanging vows. Congratulations to Heather and Dave Mosher!”

Speaking of this image, David told to WFSB, “It reminds me of someone who is crossing the finish line of a marathon or something.”

The couple was first faced with the ordeal when Heather Lindsay was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 23, 2016. Ever since she was diagnosed with the disease, her boyfriend, David Mosher, never left her side.

“She didn’t know I was going to propose that night, but I said to myself, she needs to know she’s not going to go down this road alone,” David shared in an interview with WFSB.

In September 2017, the couple found out that Heather’s cancer had spread to her lungs and brain. While many people thought that she would not make it until October, Heather persisted to live until her wedding day, which was initially set for December 30th.

“The focus was always on God having a purpose for her life,” Karas said. “She never once seemed to think, ‘oh, this might be it. She never lost faith in God.’ ”
