On Friday night, January 19, Isabelle Duterte finally welcomed her 18th birthday through a sparkling entrance and a grandiose festivity. And when we say grandiose, you might be left astounded to know that the Presidential granddaughter wore a dazzling blue dress created by none other than Michael Cinco!
Michael revealed the gown details on his Instagram. He said: “It’s made of layers of impalpable tulle and with intricate bead works of thousands of Swarovski crystals.”
The photos alone can depict the price of Isabelle’s dazzling gown, ranging from a staggering amount of PHP 800,000 to PHP 5,000,000. What’s more was that the glamorous party transpired at the Rigodon Ballroom of The Peninsula Manila, and the music was performed by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s also worth mentioning that Isabelle’s birthday cake was seven-tiered, made by the renowned cake decor expert Penk Ching, which indeed brought much delight to her guests.
Online users then noticed that the debutante’s “cobalt blue dress” resembled the glitzy gown, or the “Cinderella dress,” of the Indian actress Aishwarya Rai when she strutted at the red carpet of the 70th Cannes Film Festival last May. Additionally, according to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), the gown also became an inspiration to an Indian princess’ dress when she got married last November.
Truly, Isabelle must be living like a real princess coming from a family of politicians. Every detail of her party—from the theme and venue to the foyer and charming keepsakes— is just right for the gorgeous teen to claim the title “Debutante of the Year.”
