We haven’t heard much from ’90s heatrtthrob Jomari Yllana in recent years. Nonetheless, he seems to be enjoying a low-key life with his non-showbiz girlfriend, Joy Reyes, as can be seen in his Instagram posts.

On Thursday, however, Jomari Yllana posted an Instagram reveal that shook his fans — after 19 long years, he is going to be a dad again.

Yes, Jomari and Joy Reyes are expecting.

He posted a sonogram of his baby on December 7, with a simple yet sweet caption: “Proud Dada.” He even added a number of heart emojis to express his excitement about the little bundle of joy.

Joy and Jomari have been together for two years now, and has suffered through two miscarriages, according to a report by Pilipino Star Ngayon.

According to the same report, the baby that Joy is carrying right now is already on its second month. Furthermore, Joy is experiencing a delicate pregnancy.

Knowing all these, Jomari Yllana’s excitement is well-justified, especially since it’s been 19 years since he was last expectant of a baby. His son with ex-wife and fellow TV personality Aiko Melendez, Andre, is now an adult at 18 years old.

Andre seems to be on good terms with Joy, as they have spent Christmas together last 2016.

As of posting, Jomari’s sonogram post has garnered 1,534 likes on Instagram. The comments are nothing but well wishes and congratulations for the happy couple, too.

Some netizens noted how beautiful a Christmas gift the baby is to Jomari and Joy.

Truly, it would be the greatest gift for Jomari Yllana to experience the early bloom of fatherhood again — a welcome break from politics, racing, and events promotion, among other things he busied himself with upon leaving show business.
