Who knew that watching television was only done by people considered as “hampaslupa” and “jejemon.” Well, a certain netizen pointed this out through a comment on Kris Aquino‘s Instagram account. It is quite obvious that Kris isn’t seen on television as often as we’re used to. Ever since the star’s release from ABS-CBN, Kris’ presence on broadcast television has dwindled.
But leave it up to the Queen of All Media to bounce back big. She may not be on television anymore but Kris has been very active on her social media accounts. Through Facebook video shorts and Instagram, we are very much up to date with the celebrity’s life.

With videos and short clips about anything under the sun, a fan made a harsh comment that was meant to be a compliment for Kris. This particular netizen praised Kris’ lack of presence on television because only people without money for Internet still use the “ancient” appliance.
“Tama lang talaga na nag Youtube FB and IG ka na lang because ang mga nag TTV na lang eh yung mga jejemon hampaslupa at walang pang Internet.”

But Kris was quick to defend those still watching television. The star said that her family still uses a television so by the fan’s judgment, even they are “hampaslupa” and “jeje.” The netizen later explained that what they said was meant to be a compliment.
“We elites we stopped watching traditional TV because we already have internet… And I think most of your audience are (sic) fall under the category of elites like me,” said the fan. (SIC)

Kris ultimately shut the elitist fan down by saying that those who are truly part of the elite, like in Kevin Kwan‘s books, will never boast about their status. Maybe Kris will give this netizen a huge serving of Chowking’s Halo-Halo so they can just chill.
