Mga ALDub Nation nagrally sa labas ng Studio ng Eat Bulaga dahil dito!

Fans of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards have gathered for a “white rally” outside the studio of noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” at Broadway Centrum yesterday at around noon. The movement was not a protest, however, rather their way to show their unwavering support for the two, whose love team was popularly coined AlDub, in reference to their characters Alden and Yaya Dub in the “Kalyeserye” of the said show.

Meanwhile, the “#ALDUB124thweeksary” hashtag became a trending topic on Twitter after reaching 1.7 million tweets, in which the fans were seen donning white shirts while holding placards that say “Walang iwanan. We love you.” They were also reported singing the love team’s theme songs “God Gave Me You” and “Imagine You and Me“. Take a look at some of the tweets:

In yesterday’s episode of “Eat Bulaga!“, they snuck a peek at the crowd outside the studio as hosts Allan K and Pia Guanio said their opening greetings but they didn’t identify them as AlDub fans and what the gathering was for.

It would seem like Alden and Maine are currently on leave since the two didn’t appear on the show for the past few days.

On November 26, Maine wrote an open letter to express her gratitude for the AlDub fans’ support for her and on-screen partner Alden since they started working together on the noontime show in 2015.

But the young actress admitted that she hasn’t been feeling comfortable for a while now with how they’re criticizing her every move, whether in her personal life or showbiz career.

“Hanggang sa napagtanto ko na iyon pala ay dahil sa ilang mga tao na nakapaligid sa akin. Yung mga taong akala ko ay tunay na nagmamalasakit at nagmamahal sa akin. Mahirap. “Nahihirapan akong dinidiktahan ng mga dapat kong gawin at maramdaman. Napagtanto ko na nakokompromiso na yung kalayaan at kaligayahan ko. At hindi ko kayang mamuhay ng ganoon.”

She also clarified that her and Alden are just friends. She said that fans should respect and let them be as long as they’re both happy.

“I also owe this to everyone who were dragged into this. Our families, friends, and workmates are being bashed and ridiculed by some. Kahit sinong madikit sa amin pinagiisipan at pinagsasalitaan ng hindi maganda. “Basta hindi naaayon sa kagustuhan ang mga nakikita, nagagalit. “It hurts me seeing them being hurt. It hurts me how some of you are so capable and so proud of throwing so much hate on others– especially on people who care about us. “Family and friends outside the industry are being taken into the wrong context, even if they do not have anything to do with the issues thrown at us.”
