Elies ‘Peter’ Lenturio was coined as Sorsogon’s “Cobra King” for his unbelievable affinity with various types of snakes since he was as young as 15 years old. He became a familiar name after being the community’s recourse when it comes to snakes that wormed their way into their homes. He was well-known for his familiarity of the said animal. Needless to say, his ironic death from the bite of his own pet snake and it was a shocking news for many.
In a story from ABS-CBN News, the pet was kept in the u-box of his motorcycle when it suddenly turned hostile and snapped at Peter’s left hand just as he was opening the storage. Apparently, the snake’s tail got caught on the u-box and was naturally triggered to attack its owner. Out of anger, Peter beheaded the pet and consumed its blood.

While others would be filled with dread, the snake master was impervious to the bite. Refusing to go to the hospital, Peter went home instead because he was reportedly intoxicated. According to his family, they were caught by surprise when they saw their kin foaming at the mouth and his body going stiff. They tried to rescue the victim but he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.


The family still can’t process the unfortunate incident, especially that Peter was able to treat himself from snake bites numerous times before.
