NETIZEN NA HINAHANAP NI VICE GANDA DAHIL SA PAHAYAG DAW NITO SA SOCIAL MEDIA, NAGSALITA NA!

Some netizens find it hard to be sensitive with their “opinions.” Although we have what we call freedom of speech, we must remind ourselves to maintain some sort of ethics. Words can inexplicably cause more pain to someone who is grieving. This female netizen learned this the hard way when she crossed paths with Vice Ganda for a very insensitive tweet she posted.
The said netizen said that she wished another Hashtag member should have died instead of Franco. Maybe she thought there were others who shared the same sentiments, but it is tactless to wish for another one’s death at a time like this. What she didn’t expect was that Vice Ganda saw what she wrote and boy, it made him really angry.

The tweet said:
“Bat si Franco pa yung namatay di nalang si Jon Lucas. #RIPFrancoHernandez”
And Vice Ganda’s numerous replies stated:

We do not want to be in her place after reading the comedian’s tweets. Plus, everybody understands where the anger is coming from. The user has since then deleted the tweet. There is no denying how nasty angry Filipino netizens could be.
In her Facebook account, the netizen named Pia Mendoza released all her feelings about the situation. Although she has briefly mentioned that her tweet was indeed tasteless, she defended herself by saying that one mistake doesn’t define her. She was just exercising her right to speak and said that she learned her lesson not to speak about another person’s idol.

It was indeed wrong for other people to call Pia names and involve her family and her friends but we should face the fact that what she said, while an opinion, was totally uncalled for and should not have been voiced out. But we definitely urge all netizens to stop flinging the hate from one side to another. It’s a good thing that Pia has lots of friends who commented their support and love.

What’s been done is done. The lesson we should just remember is to always be kind to one another and not speak ill of anyone else.
