Previously, it was reported that veteran actress Isabel Granada succumbed to brain aneurysm at the young age of 41 in Doha, Qatar. Her husband Arthur Cowley announced the untimely passing through social media, where he wrote:
“She has been a fantastic wife, mother and daughter. She always did her best in everything she did, whether it be in front of a camera or sports.”
“I would also like to take this time to thank the Filipino community in Doha for giving their full support throughout this difficult time for myself and the family.”
“Baby..wherever you might be..just always remember that I LOVE YOU. and I miss you very much.”
In another previous report, the remains of Isabel Granada arrived in the country on Nov. 9, 2017, at around 10:00 a.m. It would be transported to Arlington then to the Sanctuario de San Jose Parish in Greenhills East, Mandaluyong.

Now, in a recent report by ABS-CBN News, it was revealed that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has given the actress’ remains full military honors.
The source cited that Isabel was an Airwoman Second Class (AW2C). Her casket was draped with a Philippine flag while Cowley, her son Hubert Thomas Jericho Granada Aguas and ex-husband Geryk Genasky Aguas awaited for the arrival of her remains in the airport.

In an additional report from Philippine Daily Inquirer, the veteran actress graduated with a degree in B.S. Aeronautical Engineering from the Philippine Air Transport and Training Services (PATTS) College of Aeronautics in 2011.
According to Air Force spokesperson Maj. Aristides Galang:
“She spent a year as an active PAF enlisted personnel as part of the PAF Women’s Volleyball team and opted to remain as a reservist where she continued her support by willingly performing, hosting, and lending her celebrity status to draw crowd to PAF events.”
“The men and women of the Philippine Air Force share the sense of grief and great loss of Ms. Granada and we wish to pay tribute to this great woman who has achieved so much in her life.”

Isabel Granada was recruited by the Air Force through its direct enlistment program in 2001. She was temporarily assigned to Air Force Special Service group. Later on, she was promoted to the rank of Airwoman Second Class (AW2C).
Galang added:
“Her proper demeanor, both as a celebrity and as an aviation enthusiast, also contributed to the PAF’s public image by virtue of her reservist status, which she had proudly admitted.”
