PASAHERO NG ISANG JEEP NA KAMUKHANG-KAMUKHA NI PRESIDENT DIGONG VIRAL NGAYON SA SOCIAL MEDIA.

Nowadays, it seems like President Rodrigo Duterte is everywhere – literally.
His ongoing war against illegal drugs continues to divide Filipinos, as not everyone is eager to support the extrajudicial killings that have tarnished the reputation of the police force. In fact, the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey states that the president’s net trust and net satisfaction ratings have dropped by 15 and 18 points, respectively. Despite the decline in September figures versus June numbers, these ratings were still considered “good” and “very good” by the SWS. To assuage the president’s supporters, spokesperson Ernesto Abella said,
“[The President] is making sure that the Philippines will have the proper foundation – crime-free, drug-free, and corruption-free. [The people’s] expectations were high and the actual implementation of these things may have led to the dip. However, people are still in general, still satisfied.”
Perhaps to get the true pulse of the masses, President Duterte decided to walk amongst his people, and ride a jeepney.
Wait, what?
On the viral Facebook post of a netizen named Denzel Nestor Tingzon, we are treated to the photo of a jeepney passenger who looked a lot like the tough-talking president.

Tingzon narrated that he was still groggy from his nap when suddenly, his heart started beating fast as he looked across his seat and saw his fellow passenger who could easily pass for a Duterte doppelgänger.

It wasn’t the first time that people found one of Duterte’s doppelgängers. In fact, one guy from Davao City claimed that he encountered President Duterte masquerading as a taxi driver.

Norman Talimongan and his companions hailed a taxi on their way home from playing futsal. One of his friends mumbled that their driver eerily resembled the president. They repeatedly asked him, “Pres, kayo po ba yan?” as the driver just smiled.

They were unable to confirm the driver’s true identity since he didn’t display his ID on the dashboard.
