Comedian and LGBT rights advocate Sinon Loresca first went viral on social media for his ‘public catwalk’ videos that raised awareness and empowerment for members of the gay community. Ironically, he is now the talk of town for allegedly abusing a member of the LGBT community — his own PA, “Nadia.”

The issue broke out when netizen Drew Farhad Fernandez posted quite a lengthy Facebook status detailing a bar brawl he had with the online sensation. Drew identified himself as a long-time fan of Sinon’s work, but apparently everything changed when he saw how Sinon treated his PA in front of other people. Here are some excerpts from his post:

“I realized that it wasn’t the best way to end the year when I was sitting at a police precinct in Pasig City filing a police report for an assault done by Sinon Loresca (aka Rogelia) early this morning, 30 December 2017.”

I am very disappointed as I was a big fan of Sinon – especially for his confidence and his ability to show to people that there is nothing to be ashamed about being gay, and instead it should be celebrated. However, I have met the real Sinon last night – beyond his usual pasarela – someone we should not be proud of in the LGBT community.”

He went on to detail how they witnessed Sinon being physically abusive to his PA, a transgendered woman:

However, barely an hour after Fernandez’s post went viral, Sinon appeared in a video with his PA, contradicting almost everything that Drew claimed in his narrative.

For starters, Sinon Loresca claimed it was Drew’s group who first attacked him because they somehow got the impression that Sinon was abusing his PA. Sinon said it may have been violent, but it was nothing serious and was just his way of playing around with people who are close to him.

“Kung ano ang nakita mo last night, misunderstanding lang ‘yon. Hindi ako nambubugbog, sinasaktan, o minamaltrato ang mga assistant ko,” Sinon said in his video statement.

“Maharot lang po talaga ako mga dabarkads, akala niyo binubugbog ko kayo, akala niyo sinasaktan ko kayo, sorry pero lambing ko po yun. As long na wala akong tinatapakang tao, pinapatay o kahit na ano pa, tuloy lang ang laban ko sa buhay, no one can bring me down, especially words can’t bring me down,” Sinon continued.

Sinon’s PA, Nadia, appeared cheerful and well in the video, but netizens aren’t quick to believe and forget. After all, Sinon’s PA could have been just coerced to appear in the video.
