The Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has been making a lot of buzz lately for reinventing herself. Ever since she took a break from the showbiz industry, Kris has focused on being a full-time mom and entrepreneur. However, people still get excited whenever they feel like there is the slightest chance for her to appear on TV or in movies.

In an interview with PEP last December 11, Kris Aquino shared why she had to turn down a cameo role in Vice Ganda‘s new movie: “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad”. In the movie, Vice has to impersonate Kris a lot, but the Queen of All Media said she has no problem with that. She said it was for an entirely different reason that the actress had to turn down the role. She shared:

“They have actually asked me to do a cameo. But it was a kontrabida. So, sabi ko, ‘Ayoko kaya maging kontrabida.’ Hahaha! Tapos, sabi ko, ‘Marami akong brands na magagalit kapag nagkontrabida ako.’ I would have loved to do it. Pero sabi ko, ‘Ba’t ayaw niyo akong maging mabait?’ Hahaha!”

In the trailer, Vice Ganda can be seen imitating the actress’s famous voice while tearfully saying, “This is for you naman. Para hindi mo ma-commit the same mistakes na na-commit ko before.” When asked if she had seen the trailer, Kris admitted that she has not. However, the actress said that she was flattered to have Vice impersonate her. In the interview, she said, “Of course, it’s always flattering that somebody as famous as Vice is still mimicking me, so thanks.”

In a separate interview by PEP last October, the Kris Aquino also revealed that she and Vice Ganda have not seen each other for quite some time despite the fact that they are neighbors. Kris said this was probably because Vice is always busy taping for her TV shows. However, the Queen of All Media added that they still keep in touch by texting or through updates from their mutual friends.
