Michael V, Lilisanin na nga ba ang Bubble Gang? Ano kaya ang dahilan?

After more than two decades, comedian Michael V, aka ‘Bitoy’, will be leaving the longest running gag show on GMA 7, “Bubble Gang”, soon, according to a KAMI report picked up from Inquirer.
For him, “Bubble Gang” has become his home for 22 years, working behind the scenes as its creative director and at the same time, making viewers laugh every Friday night with his spoofs and spiels.
But as they say, all good things must come to an end. And, well, the end is near for Michael V.
According to the comedian, the time has come for him to “graduate” from the weekly show, despite his close association to Bubble Gang, and one of the last men standing from the original roster.
This is why he’s showing the ropes to next generation comedians and newer cast members.

“I feel compelled to teach them. I’m simply waiting for people to step up. They’re good performers, but no one writes or is part of the creative team—wala pa so far ’yung full package,” the 47-year-old funny man shared during the show’s 22 anniversary special.
He believes that everyone in the cast has untapped potential that needs to be unlocked.
“Some things can’t be taught, but I always can inspire them. They all have potential. I will be leaving the door open—it’s up to them to step up and enter,” Michael V continued.

Of course, stepping down would mean letting in new material, and with most original cast gone, “Bubble Gang” will never be the same again.
But the comedian believes in the show, saying, “I want the show to continue, not necessarily with me or the same cast. We stick to original material as much as possible.”
“If we have to copy or spoof something, we spiff it up so it becomes a signature ‘Bubble Gang’ gag,” he added.

Once he “graduates” from the show, Michael V aims to venture into filmmaking – something that he hasn’t found time to do because of his hectic schedule. Likewise, the comedian is interested in creating online content for social media platform.
