Jordanian actress and comedian Mais Hamdan finally apologized to the Filipinos who got offended by her joke during an episode of "Lahonwbas". She impersonated and made fun of other country’s English accent, including the way of communication of her own people.

Hamdan said that she understand that many Filipinos did’nt like what she did and so she’s apologizing to all people who got offended by her statements especially, the Overseas Filipino Workers.

“So please, I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart, I did not really mean to mock or hurt anyone, I did not mean to cause or to be the reason for negativity,” Hamdan said.
“I’m an actress, I’m a comedian, you know the part of my job is to sometimes impersonate and imitate languages, different and various languages, dialects. I do actress, singers, celebrities and you know I do a little bit exaggeration just to make a comic factor on it,” she added.

Hamdan said that she’s not serious with her statement and she only did her job to gave laugh to the audience watching to her.

“I hope you understand where I’m coming from, I just want to draw smile on your faces, no more, no less, please accept my apology, please I beg you guys” she said.
The controversial Jordanian actress also said that she have a full respect to all Filipino people and hoping to visit the Philippines soon. She also wished a happy holiday to all Filipinos around the world and urged them to spread love and be good to each other.

The actress also thanked her supporters who showed their concerns to her on social media.

Thousands of netizens who got offended by the joke of Hamdan, accepted the apology of the actress because they believed that she’s sincere of what she said.
