Ina ng 2 Taong Gulang na Bata, labis ang pag-aalala matapos matagpuan ang bagay na ito sa loob ng ilong niya.

Babies and toddlers will always be curious with anything because their minds are like blank slates – a tabula rasa, if you want to be philosophical – that will be filled with experiences and memories. A baby will always put something in its mouth to taste and satisfy curiosity, despite keeping close watch. And for this one mom, her kid curiously stuffed something inside her nose.
In her Facebook post, the mother shared her scary experience with her two-year-old daughter to other parents of curious toddlers and inquisitive kids. Her warning became viral, racking up 3,400 reactions, 3,300 comments, and has been shared 5,200 times since its posting.
It all began when Mommy Riza thought that her daughter has colds, or sipon, since she’s been sniffling for a couple of days.
She noticed that the mucus coming out of her little kid’s right nostril was smelly, so using a flashlight, she checked what’s within the nasal cavity.

What she saw surprised her: something small and silver was lodged inside. According to her, she tried removing it using a pair of tweezers but it wouldn’t budge, prompting her to bring her daughter to a specialist.
Good thing that there’s a 24-hour ear, nose, throat (ENT) doctor to check her daughter at 1 o’clock in the morning. After tugging and pulling, what the doctor fished out was something which looked like a hook from a nail cutter.

Although it caused slight bleeding, they were free to go home from the hospital.
However, her daughter was still sniffling, and when the two-year-old kid blew her nose, what came out was a yellowish, snot-covered thread that smelled really nasty, worse than the silver hook.

Based on Mommy Riza’s estimates, the thread could’ve been the first thing her kid put in her nose, judging from the way it smelled upon its removal.
According to the doctor, there’s a high probability that her kid might repeat this behavior, so she’s not keeping her nose out of her daughter’s business.
Thankful and happy, Mommy Riza also hopes that her daughter will keep her nose clean, literally and figuratively.
