Local stars cranked up the heat at the SM Mall of Asia as they strutted the runway for the Bench fashion show. The brand celebrated 30 years of success in the business and capped the milestone off with the famous fashion event. They named the show “Under the Stars” and it was very spot on since netizens expressed their desire to be among these stars after seeing the event photos. Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Solenn Heusaff, and Maine Mendoza were among the famous names included on the show.
But just like any other big celebration, drama was lurking around the place. Gabbi Garcia, known for the recent remake of “Encantandia,” was bashed by some AlDub fans for allegedly snubbing Maine. During the show, Maine and Gabbi were positioned close to each other but didn’t appear to greet or talk to each other.

A certain netizen shared a video of Maine bonding with the artists beside her, both from ABS-CBN and GMA-7, but this was not the case with the younger actress. There were comments pointing out that the AlDub star wanted to talk to Gabbi based on her body language but she was ignored.
This prompted hardcore fans of Maine to get angry and call out Gabbi for being “plastic.” They said that the supposed snubbing wouldn’t bother them because they claim that the “Encantandia” star is leagues behind Maine. One netizen went a bit over the line, saying that Gabbi looked like a dancer in “Patay-Sindi” which we assume is some sort of bar.

But one person came to Gabbi’s defense and it was Maine Mendoza herself! The AlDub queen asked her supporters to stop throwing shade towards the young actress because the latter did not see that Maine wanted to talk. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, so no one deserved to be bashed. Maine even said that Gabbi would always be the one to approach her whenever they see each other.
