"ALIEN FISH" NATAGPUAN DI-UMANO NG MGA MANGINGISDA!.

As science has shown us over the years, there are so many strange creatures under the sea. The depth of the sea and the pressure that can be harmful to the people hinder us from truly exploring everything Earth has to offer. In fact, an estimated 95% of the ocean hasn’t been explored yet, so there is a strong possibility that many strange creatures exist without us knowing. Like one example, charter fishermen in Mexico found a strange-looking alien fish.

There are lists everywhere that jot down the creepiest, scariest or strange-looking sea creatures out there. But this particular fish is more of a cute-strange rather than a scary-strange. Fishermen were trying to catch fish off the coast of Mexico and saw this strange fish caught with the others.

Dr. Pescado, the captain of the tourist fishing boat that caught the fish, was on a trip while in Los Cabos. While ordinary people would call it an alien fish, Dr. Pescado might have an idea to what it really is. And it might be more normal than you think.

“I was really surprised but what caused most impact were the eyes, so strange,” Dr. Rendon Pescado said to the Pisces Sportfishing Fleet. He described the fish to have “raspy skin, three rows of tiny teeth, and three gill slits on each side of the head.”

The pink fish is called a swellshark. Probably named after it’s ability to make its body swell and bloat. Another doctor seemed to say that although this is a normal creature, the ‘albinism’ of this particular shark is rare, so this discovery is truly welcomed.

“This particular swell shark is cool to see, but with a lot of species, leucism and albinism are anomalous,” said a Dr. David Ebert, from the Pacific Shark Research Center.

“In the bigger scheme of things, this discovery highlights a species that tends to be overlooked and not thought about often. Events like this encourage people to think about sharks that might not be on their radar, so I embrace them whenever they come up.”

The pink swellshark that was caught was released back into the ocean so it could live a long life and possibly spread in numbers.
