Senator Gordon may sinabi kay Senator Antonio Trillanes. Ano kaya iyon?

Senator Richard Gordon, chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, admitted that if it were up to him, he would remove Senador Antonio Trillanes IV from the Senate.

This is due to the heated verbal exchange between both senators recently had; during the Bureau of Customs hearing last August 31, 2017 concerning the P6.4 billion “shabu” shipment from China.

According to this report by Abante Tonite via Definitely Filipino, Sen. Richard Gordon said this isn’t the first time Trillanes showed improper behavior at the Senate. Gordon also accused Trillanes of having many offenses in the Senate and caused the death of a person because of his actions.

Sen. “Dick” Gordon mentioned what had happened to former Defense Secretary and former AFP Chief of Staff Angelo Reyes who committed suicide back in 2011. Gordon accused Trillanes of bullying and shaming Reyes, which pressured him to take his own life.

The chair of the Blue Ribbon Committee plans to file an ethics complaint against Trillanes – a threat which the senator happily welcomed.

For his part, Senator Trillanes lamented the actions of his fellow senators who he claimed are doing everything they can to absolve presidential son and Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo ‘Pulong’ Duterte.

Recently, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Secretary Salvador Panelo voiced his own opinion over the issue between Sen. Gordon, Sen Trillanes and the senate.

According to Panelo, it was about time someone taught Trillanes a lesson about discipline in the Senate.

“Hindi rin maaaring puro bastusan na lamang, pagbibintang o paninira sa mga hindi kaalyado ang gawin ni Senador Antonio Trillanes IV kung kaya’t dapat lang na mawala na ito sa mataas na kapulungan ng Kongreso.”
