MANILA, Philippines— During the senate hearing regarding the P6.4 billion worth of shabu smuggled from China through the Bureau of Customs, Senator Antonio Trillanes accused presidential son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, of having links to the Triad.

Paolo Duterte, along with his brother-in-law, Atty. Manases Carpio, were linked to the so-called Davao Group by witness Customs fixer Mark Taguba. The Davao Group is believed to have facilitated the smuggling of shapu through the Bureau of Customs. Taguba has since retracted his accusations.

Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte attended the Senate hearing following a heated exchange of insults between Senator Trillanes and Senator Gordon wherein Trillanes accused Gordon of protecting the presidential son from a Senate probe.

During the hearing, Antonio Trillanes alleged that Paolo Duterte had links to an international drug and crime syndicate based in China – the Triad. Trillanes alleged that these so-called links to the Triad could be found in Paolo Duterte’s back tattoo that supposedly contained “sacred digits.”

Senator Trillanes challenged Paolo Duterte to show his back tattoo and the presidential son declined, citing “personal reasons.” Trillanes claims that VM Duterte’s defense meant that he was hiding something from the public. Paolo Duterte’s lawyer then accused Senator Trillanes of being “gay.”

Senator Trillanes ignited curiosity among netizens. Is it true that Paolo Duterte has a Triad tattoo on his back?

Recently, the Facebook page “Unofficial: Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa Solid Supporters” uploaded photos of Paolo Duterte topless. The rather personal photos were taken during what seemed like a barbecue party at a beach. The photos were meant to prove that Trillanes’ allegations are baseless.

However, it’s worth noting that the photos failed to show if Paolo Duterte has a tattoo on his back as the photos only showed the presidential son’s front.
